SBM Offshore converted FPSO Xikomba renaming it N’Goma FPSO, at the Keppel shipyard in Singapore before the vessel set sail for the PAENAL yard in Angola where it completed the final scope of work in time.
The vessel has 100.000 bpd of oil processing capacity, 115mmscf/d of gas handling capacity and water injection capacity of 120.000bpd.
The final part of the scope of work was performed in Porto Amboim, Kwanza Sul – Angola by PAENAL and comprised the fabrication of Modules (Sulfate Reduction Pump – M08 and Hot Oil Pump – M18), Side Collision Structure, Section Anchors Piles and its integration into the FPSO.
The vessel was christened by the Sx. Eª Srª. Engª Francisca Breganha Cristovão de Lemos Vieira Dias da Silva. The event was attended by local angoln dignitaries and representatives from National Oil Company Sonangola and SBM Offshore (both joint venture partners in the yard since 2008), Eni Angola SpA (Operator), Block 15/06 Joint Venture Partners (namely Sonangol Pesquisa e Produção, SSI Fifteen), OPS and of course Paenal.
