The HLC was the first “jewel” of Paenal’s yard.
It’s the biggest in Africa and can lift up a cargo of 2.500 tons, in a radius of 36m. Has 5 hooks: one of 2 tons, one of 15 tons, one of 100 tons and two of 1.250 tons. The HLC is used to integrate modules for FPSOs and other activities that requests elevation. It’s one of the main “pieces” of the yard.
For the ceremony we had his excellency Governor of Kwanza-Sul as the Godfather of the crane. The name chosen by him, for the crane, was “Jamba” that means elephant in a local language.
The ceremony was held on the 14th August 2013.
