PAENAL – Porto Amboim Estaleiros Navais Limitada is a developed fabrication yard dedicated in the fabrication and construction of complex facilities with specialized know-how for global support. However we offer integrated and dynamic services to carry out projects for the Oil and Gas (O&G) industry.
Initially formed as a Joint Venture between SONANGOL and SBM Offshore in year 2007. Thereafter, in the year 2008, the JV was joined by DSME, South Korea with entity shares of SONANGOL (40%), SBMO (30%), DSME (30%).
PAENAL yard is located four kilometers south of the City of Porto Amboim and forty five minutes drive to Sumbe, the capital City of Kwanza Sul Province.
Our yard has an area of 270,000 m2 (27 Ha) and additional area of 66,000 m2 (6.6 Ha) for future storage. Now, PAENAL Yard covers an area of 336,000m2 (33.6Ha).
Currently, Paenal knows the importance of employees and satisfied customers. For this reason, we have recommended certifications and transmit in our work rules, the principles and policies of international work safety in order to fit the safety requirements in the Oil & Gas industry.

– – Establish high quality design equipment for each project;
– – Promoting and developing a topsides manufacturing, an integration and a transfer of knowledge about project management in the country;
– – Delivery of projects with company projects and their project delivery deadlines safely, within and with high quality.
• Topside/Modules fabrication, hook-up and integration onto FPSO;
• Wellhead Platform (WHP) fabrication, mechanical completion,
pre-commissioning and load out onto Client’s vessel/barge;
• Fabrication of Subsea Systems (Well Jumpers, Rigid Flowline Spool, Mudmats, Suction Piles, Buoys, etc.;
• Project development, modification and offshore hook-up for Oil & Gas Industry (Brownfield Project);
• FPSO maintenance (onshore/offshore) services.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
• Repair and maintenance in PAENAL quayside of the Ships, Rigs, FPSO;
• Vessel/Boat repair and maintenance in PAENAL yard by Lifting Method with lifting weight capacity of < 2500ton;
• Offshore manpower support (welders, fitters, fabricators, scaffolded, riggers & painters, etc.);
• Fully certified ISPS port and in-house custom clearance, etc.

ISO 45001 is an International Standard that specifies requirements for an Occupational Health and Safety Management System with guidelines for its use, proactively improving OSH performance in injury and illness prevention. For this reason, Paenal have standardizing and integrating regulatory requirements ISO into himself system management of the organization and much more.
